Founded in 1893, the Cantina Terlano winery is now one of the leading wine growers’ cooperatives in South Tyrol, with a current membership of 143 growers.  We and our members have long had a strong focus on quality. That has attracted praise and recognition on the Italian and international wine markets, and in spite of its relatively small size, Cantina Terlano is now well established in the world of wine.

shrimp, clams, pancetta, lobster stock, portabella, garlic bread

2013 Cascina Adelaide Barolo “Cannubi”, Piedmont, Italy

Borne from a passion for the region and a burning desire to demonstrate not only the qualities that can be captured in the glass, but also the diversity of the terroir within the Barolo DOCG. Having purchased an old farm house and accompanying vineyards in 1999, Amabile Drocco made considerable investments in a state of the art gravity fed winery and top winemaking team to set Cascina Adelaide apart. Yet it was his ambition to own land in each of the Barolo crus and commitment to Barolo’s terroirs which has made them a producer of note. Amabile explains this concept as “it’s the land that provides the difference, the wine provides the medium”. In a natural extension of this, no herbicides are used in the vineyards and all harvesting and sorting are done by hand. Native yeasts and minimal sulphur are used in the fermentation, allowing the resulting wines to speak for themselves, creating delicious complex Barolo’s with an exacting attention to detail that shines.  Chosen as one of the Worlds Best Wineries by Wine International Associations Wine Star Guide in 2024.

Secondo Piatto

Grilled Lamb Chop

chorizo, saffron roasted potatoes, leeks, yellow romesco, spanish olives

2014 Clos Erasmus Priorat, Spain

70% Grenache and 30% Syrah / 98 points Jeb Dunnuck / Current vintage retail is $350/btl

In a region now filled with big names, Daphne Glorian has been a quiet godmother to the younger generations of winemakers, continuing to promote the good name of Priorat with her exceptional and highly sought-after wines. Her boutique estate of 10 hectares barely produces 140 cases each year, so her first label, Clos Erasmus, is inevitably scarce and expensive. Deservedly so, however, as this is one of the regions’ and indeed Spain’s greatest of all red wines – rich, powerful, dense and exotically perfumed. Clos Erasmus is also one of the few Spanish wines ever to achieve 100 Parker points, proof that the Priorat region in the right hands produces wines to rival the finest from Rioja and Ribera Del Duero.

La Terza

Wine Braised Beef Shank

black garlic confit, whipped truffled gorgonzola potatoes, tomato nage

2015 Il Marroneto Brunello di Montalcino

100% Sangiovese / 96 points Wine Advocate / current vintage retail $130/btl

The legacy of Marroneto began in 1974, when Giuseppe Mori purchased a historic building north of Montalcino, dating back to 1246, originally used for chestnut drying (“marroni” in Tuscan dialect) and flour production. With his sons Andrea and Alessandro, Giuseppe planted the first 3000 meters of vineyards in 1975. In the 1990s, Alessandro Mori expanded the winery, propelling Il Marroneto into the ranks of the top 10 historical wineries in Montalcino today. Situated at 430 meters in the province of Madonna delle Grazie, the estate benefits from cool night winds and temperature variations, creating an ideal environment for wines that are elegantly balanced, fresh, and fruit-forward. Il Marroneto spans 8 hectares of Sangiovese planted on sandy, minerally soils (sabbione di mare). Guided by tradition and minimalism, vineyard management prioritizes quality, avoiding excessive treatments and intensive production.
