RK Pop Up Winemaker Dinner Thursday June 18, 2026 Kaena was launched in 2001 to showcase owner and winemaker Mikael Sigouin’s deep passion for winemaking, especially using his favorite varietal - Grenache. Mikael who is part Hawaiian and raised on the Oahu shores, uses a shortened version of his given name for the brand – Kaena – which means “potential for greatness”.  Kaena produces 5000 cases of Rhone & other varietals with an emphasis on Grenache. He is known affectionately by his peers and fans as The Grenache King.
